Gift Regalado
Gift S. Regalado, from Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, created her very first piece on her kitchen table in 2002. She developed her jewelry-making talent when money was tight and she had to create her own accessories to compliment her clothes. What started out as a hobby turned into a very profitable business when her family and friends started buying her designs like crazy.
She opened her store/showroom in 2007 in Dumaguete, her hometown. Specializing in pieces made from sea glass, driftwood, mother of pearl, fibers, seeds, horns, bones, wood, crystals and semi-precious stones, Gift makes good use of materials indigenous to the Philippines and employs local Dumaguetenos as part of her advocacy to make a difference in her community.
With extreme passion for her craft, Gift Regalado has managed to make her business grow. From offering her creations to family, friends, local hotels and resorts, she now exports her individually-handcrafted jewelry to the USA, Australia and Spain.
Over the years, Gift has earned recognition for incredible craftsmanship and today, she has a stunning collection of casual and elegant pieces that are made to suit the unique tastes and styles of each individual.
Her designs made from semi-precious stones and pearls are meant to be collected as forever pieces that are sophisticated, contemporary and chic.
From funky pendants and wooden earrings to mother-of-pearl sets that were once given out as gifts to foreign dignitaries, Gift Regalado has achieved excellence in design by daring to be different and by putting her heart and soul into each masterpiece.
Today, with her success in the fashion industry, Gift continues to generate more jobs for her local community by creating more and more pieces that are expressions of each individual’s personality and sense of style.
